Ideas Abu Dhabi

To convene dialogue on some of the most pressing issues for the UAE and the world, Tamkeen partnered with Aspen Institute in 2017 to launch Ideas Abu Dhabi, a thought leadership forum inspired by the Aspen Ideas Festival.

Across the 5 events held, Ideas Abu Dhabi has tackled some of the most pressing global challenges including polarization, cancer, AI, geopolitics, space, the role of catalytic philanthropy, and climate finance.

Forums have featured some of the greatest thought-leaders of our time, such as Dr. Anwar Gargash, Bill Gates, Buzz Aldrin, Rt Hon David Cameron, Rt Hon Gordon Brown, HE Noura AlKaabi, HRH Prince Khaled Bin Alwaleed Al Saud, Ray Dalio, Yann LeCun, and many others.

The latest edition of Ideas Abu Dhabi took place at COP28 in 2023 during the Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum. During the session, speakers discussed the importance of mobilizing private finance to deliver urgent climate action.
